Known as the Preble Block II and originally completed in 1867 in the Second Empire style, this four-story building has been managed by East Brown Cow since its acquisition by Cow Bella LLC in September 2022. The building was originally built by the Preble family and features architectural details such as a mansard roof with dormers with semicircular pediments and pseudo three-centered arch windows, a brick façade with segmental and round arch windows, and a granite, cast-iron, and wood paneled storefront. Thomas Bird Mosher’s Mosher Press occupied the second floor of the building from 1891 to 1941 and published over 750 books during its time. Mosher Press helped to influence a generation of printers and book designers in the American printing arts movement. The ground level features prime retail, while the upper levels offer Class B office space.
